I am a wife, my husband, Alan is the Yankton County Highway Superintendent. We have two daughters and two grandchildren, Michaela and Myles, who will soon be 4 and 3-years-old.
Until August 2006 I was the Director of College Relations and Adjunct Faculty, also teaching Basic News Writing, a Journalism class – Mount Marty College, Yankton, SD

Since 1986 I have provided news and feature articles and columns for The Sioux City Journal, Sioux City, Iowa; The Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Sioux Falls, SD; Yankton Daily Press and Dakotan, Yankton; and occasionally for the Omaha World Herald. I have also written for Prairie Business Magazine, Fargo, ND; The Draft Horse Journal, Waverly, Iowa; The Small Farm Journal, Eugene, Oregon; Rural Heritage, Gainesboro, TN; and South Dakota Magazine, Yankton. I am generally published somewhere each week.
Public Relations Coordinator for St. Dysmas of South Dakota, an ecumenical prison ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America that is open to inmates of all denominations.

PERSONAL INTERESTS
- I enjoy learning about computers and the Internet. My husband and I have five Belgian draft horses we use for enjoyment and to work the small fields we cultivate. We also ride horses. I play guitar and violin and my husband and I sing together and use this as a ministry and entertainment tool.
